YOU NEED TO COMPLETE THE IN STITCHES QUEST BEFORE YOU CAN BEGIN THIS QUEST
Completing this quest unlocks automatic ageing so your sims can age and die as well as the ability to give your sims personalities and earn orbs to build new places; the pet park, arcade, beach and carnival. If you complete this quest in the 5 day time limit you will unlock the singing salmon which makes your sims inspired! You can still complete this quest once the time limit is up but you won’t get the singing salmon
How long does this quest take to complete?
Right now you can reverse your sims back to the beginning of their life stage for FREE so they don’t have to die if you don’t want them to!
Times may vary depending on the star rating an item has.
- Call a friend on a phone- 4 minutes
- Send invitations on a computer- 4 minutes
- Send 5 sims to snow park
- Tend the bar in the snow park (stay tending the bar for the next task)
- Order a cocktail at cabin (snow park)- 32 seconds (you can only do this task when someone is tending the bar)
- Ask Osiris about new inventions- 6 minutes 12 seconds
- Open the age controller (see steps 1 and 2 in the image below)
- Advance an adult sims age
- Send a sim to the park
- Examine the glowing orb- 1 day 20 minutes (can be found on the pier in the park)
- Give the orb to a senior (that sim will pass away during this quest)
- Open the life dreams menu (see image below)
- Choose a life dream
- Fulfil a life dream- you could get any one of these life dreams, I have included how to complete them (times may vary):
- I want to read Sci Fi books from a preteen bookshelf- 4 hours (Select Sci Fi from preteen bookshelf)
- I want to debunk theories of relativity while drinking tea- 13 hours 20 minutes (Select debunk theory of relativity on teapot)
- I want to write letters to sci fi celebrities on the computer- 7 hours 12 minutes (Letters to celebs option on computer)
- I want to get all Dr Whoozits memorabillia via the internet and send it to a museum- 11 hours 42 minutes (Select the option on a computer)
- I want to talk to tech support about computer systems on the phone- 4 hours 30 minutes (Select the option on the phone)
- I want to create an edible board game army by baking gingerbread sims- 6 hours (Bake Gingerbread on a stove)
- I want to read encyclopedias from bookshelfs- 3 hours (Select encyclopedia on a bookshelf)
- I want to argue with park statue constantly about the virtues of Dr Whoozits- 8 hours 20 minutes (Click on the thinking man statue in the park)
- I want to have many scientific breakthroughs in the bath- 9 minutes (Select the option on a bath)
- I want to strategize chess on a chessboard as often as possible-6 hours (Select the option on a chess board)
- I want to have marathon movie sessions on a TV- 8 hours (Select Movie Marathon on a TV)
- I want to tell a lot of sims all about Ms Vampire Slayer- 10 hours (requires another sim, select option)
- Have a senior ask Osiris for help- 5 minutes
- Tap on the beach, carnival, arcade or pet park on island
- Have a senior ask Osiris for help- 20 seconds
- Fulfil a life dream- (the same as you did before)
- Have a scientific breakthrough in the bath- 9 minutes
- Debunk theory of relativity while drinking tea- 10 hours 30 minutes
- Have a senior grow watermelons- 1 hour (works with an adult and can be started early)
- Bake gingerbread sims- 6 hours (again works with adult and can be started early)
- Complete a cycle of life (goodbye senior sim!)
- Have 4 sims in one house
- Be nice to a sim- 1 minute
- Have a baby- 1 day (can be started early) (having a baby through the pregnancy event will complete this)

Hi I want to take a life orb from a sim who is not dead for example when my sim was a preeten she has the bronze life orb I wanted to take it bevause I needed it but I couldn’t
Was she trying to upgrade the bronze orb to a silver? Or earning a bronze orb? If she was earning a bronze there is no orb for her to give to someone else but if she was using a bronze orb and trying to turn it into a silver you can change her personality and you will find the bronze orb on the ground to give to someone else. I can’t finish the quest because I’m stuck on complete a life cycle. It says,my sim has completed her life dreams,but when I go to age controller I can’t click to pass her to the afterlife. What can I do to fix this issue. I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling and restarting my phone
Are you on the ‘complete a cycle of life’ goal yet? If not you will not be able to pass them on until the afterlife yet.
so what happen if all of main quest are finish? what task i should do after?

Once you start this quest your sims will begin to age even if you don’t finish it
How do you make an adult adopt a child? And does it have to be a baby or can it be a toddler, teen or preteen?
You can only adopt a child if both that child’s parents have passed on and are no longer in the game. They don’t have to be a baby, they can adopt any age group

What happens to your preteens? Nothing, they will continue to live their life until they are ready to age.
If my sim dies will they be able to pass down their hobbies to their children?
No, but a sim can complete any hobby they want, they will just start from level 1
Hello, I have a question. Let’s say a mom dies, and the dad is still alive and remarries, will you still have to pay for a ring and a baby? Also can one married sim be an adult, while the other married sim ages and dies? Can senior sims marry? Can you adopt a child if both of its parents died? Can that child have step parents or step siblings? I’m sorry that I’m asking many questions, but it’s because I’m on the in stitches quest and I have a good story line that I want to do, but it can’t work unless I know if it is possible to do these things.
Yes they will need to buy a new ring and pay for children if they remarry
Yes, one parent can age and die whilst the other remains
Senior sims can marry
Babies can be adopted but only if both parents die
They can’t really have step parents or siblings as it doesn’t say they are but sims can remarry and move in with their children.
hi,pls i cant complete the quest on time bcause today is the last day for the quest and i have’nt gone far what will happen to my sims and there is a ring around my sims neck.

Do you think a baby from a pregnancy will count for the last part of this quest: ‘have a baby’, if I would start the pregnancy early enough?

oh i think u can…Because in the other questions someone had told they can do it in 9-days pregnancy…So 90% yes

Hi! Did you figure this out, could the 1 day baby also come from a 9 day pregnancy? I’m on the quest now, and having a pregnancy going at the same time – I might need to add a day to the time for the quest if the baby can be ‘used’ in the quest. Thank you in advance! When the sim has to “debunk theory of relativity while drinking tea” the picture shows 13 hours and 20 minutes but the description says 10 hours and 30 minutes. Can you tell me which one is correct?
The description is correct. The picture is just there so you can see how to complete it, I haven’t completed this quest since the time changed so I don’t have an up to date picture.
Hi, I know I’m replying to an old post, but I’m doing this quest now, and when I started the “Debunk theory of relativity while drinking tea” task, it completed immediately. I got the pop-up to grow watermelons straightaway, but my senior was still drinking tea. I had the option to skip her through it by watching an ad. It had said the task would take almost 10 hours when I clicked on my antique tea set. I don’t know if I just got lucky somehow, or if this has changed, but I just thought I would let you know. I watched an ad to blow through the watermelons too, and I’m baking gingerbread now. An hour ago I was doing the chess game still!

Once you pass life dreams and legacies, do you need to use lp to get a baby?
Once you complete the quest it costs simoleons to add a baby instead of LP
How many simoleons does it cost
The cost varies depending on how many sims you have in your town, the more sims you have the higher the cost.

I am stuck on this quest because of the “have scientific breakthrough in the bath” part of it. I know it’s probably just me making a stupid mistake but why won’t it let me do that? Do I have to have a sim that worked in the scientist career for a day or till they got to level 10? Please if you have any answer that would be extremely appreciated 🙂
You need to click on a bath and select this option

You need to use the sim you aged to a senior who has the life dream

Yes you can but if you wait for them to age on their own you will save yourself 5LP
do i need a senior sims to do this quest?
No but you need an adult sim to age into a senior sim during this quest and then they will pass on
What if i dont have the snow park?
You will need to have the snow park built for the seniors quest so you will have it to be able to complete this quest.
Hi! is there any other limit to the singing salmon other than the recharge time? like say if i buy 10, and put all 10 in one house, can i inspire all 10 sims simultaneously?
No there are no other limits, you can have as many as you want in each house
When the sim passes away, do they disappear completely for example, from other sims friends list?
Yes, they will be deleted from the game

So if I don’t start this quest then my sims won’t age?
That is correct.
What happens when you finish all quests in the game, what will you do
The game is constantly updated with new events so you should have something to do most of the time.
My senior sim is stuck at 90% of taking a bath to achieve a scientific breakthrough. I’ve given her so many baths it’s ridiculous and the percent will not increase to 100%. Do you know if this is a common issue? Will I be able to collect an orb?

hello, i dont want my sims to automatically age. Does the age controller unlock at the beginning of the quest, before i complete any of the quest? Can i complete the “in stitches” quest without the age controller automatically unlocking?
Once sims get to the end of their life stage you can choose to reverse them back to the beginning of that life stage for free so your sims don’t have to age if you don’t want them to.
Do you have to kill a senior sim during the quest or are you allowed to say no?
A senior does have to pass on to be able to complete this quest.
Do other sims age up to the next life stage automatically when I do this quest? For example, if I have a toddler, will they automaticaly become a preteen during this quest, or do they stay the same age?
Also, will they still be a toddler after I finish the quest?
All life stages will begin to age by completing this quest. The time they take to age up varies on how many actions they complete but you can always reverse them back to the beginning of the life stage for free so they don’t have to age.
